Have you been injured in a road traffic accident that was not your fault and the other driver is not insured? Don’t worry, you may still be able to claim!
    June 1, 2018

If you have been injured in an accident and the driver at fault is not insured, you may think that you are not able to make a claim for compensation because if there is no insurance there is no one to compensate you but this is not correct. It is perhaps a little known fact that it is possible to make a claim against the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB). The MIB is funded by the insurance premiums of law abiding drivers who do pay their car insurance and is a last resort source of compensation for those injured by an uninsured driver. We have successfully settled many claims against the MIB and have lots of experience of the process of pursuing claims against them. If you have been injured by an uninsured driver, please call us on 0208 313 1300 0208 313 1300 to see how we can help!

Example: We acted for a client who was stationary at some traffic lights, when his vehicle was hit in the rear by another vehicle. It turned out that the driver of the other vehicle did not have car insurance, so our client did not think that he was able to make a claim. However, we successfully pursued a claim against the MIB for our client and he was awarded compensation.
