Pensioners road accident compensation

We acted for an elderly lady who was passenger in a hired car. The car accelerated as it was driven into a driveway, and carried on through a fence and into a tree. Liability was eventually conceded by the driver's insurers when they could not prove that the car was defective and that the accident must have been caused by driver error. Our client suffered multiple injuries, the most serious of which was a traumatic brain injury which caused deterioration of her mental capacity and reduced her life expectancy by a period of 7 years.
